Apr 2007 - Remembering Dick Donovan

As many of you are aware, Dick Donovan passed away on February 18th, 2007, after suffering a heart attack in November and fighting to recover from quadruple bypass surgery.

Dick was a modest man who loved life, and spent much of his time helping others.  His expertise was sought by many golf collectors and writers, and he was always respected for his knowledge and his ethics.  His latest achievement was his passion and life's work, a comprehensive bibliography of golf books published in the English language.  "The Game of Golf and the Printed Word 1566-2005", a collaboration with Rand Jerris of the USGA, was published just a few weeks before he fell ill.

Dick is remembered fondly for his love of his family, golf, and of all things Irish.

The following is a link to an article published in The Press and Sun-Bulletin (Binghamton, NY) on February 22, 2007.
